Sorry i cant upload pictures... the internet connection is really bad and my computer i about to dye. I will try again in the morning. This will probably be my last blog before we leave. We leave Tuesday. Today we said goodbye to the kids at sovanapoom. That was not easy and it was nearly impossible to walk away. They sang us a goodbye song, and made us little books with pictures they drew in them. I love those kids. I really do. Who knows when I will ever see them again. I got there email address though so I can write them. After we were done saying goodbye to them we went and said goodbye to the other orphanage. I think I have had enough goodbyes for a long time now. Yesterday we went to tuel sleng. It was… the most horrific thing I have ever seen. I don’t ever want to go back there again. But afterward we got to go to the Russian market. That was a lot of fun. But very overwhelming!! There was so much to pick through look at, how could you ever choose. But I did, I got losts of neat things for VERY cheap!! Tomorrow we are going to daughters of Cambodia. This is an organization that takes in prostitutes or slave girls and puts them on there feet. They help them find a trait and teach them how to do it, and find them a Job. Sally heard about this place and wants us to go visit. Then we are going to the Russian market again! YAY! And I think after that we are going to go get massages at Amara.

Here are some lyrics that portray what life is like for some of the girls that live here. A lot more than we all know about.

What would you do if your son was at home Crying all alone on the bedroom floor cuz hes hungry And the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man for a little bit of money Cuz his daddys gone Somewhere selling rock now, in and out of lock down So for you this is just a good time, but for me this is what I call life

Girl you aint the only one with a baby, Thats no excuse to be livin all crazy. then she looked me right square in the eye, she said everyday i wake up hopin to dye. She said what do you know about pain. Me and my sister ran away so my daddy couldnt rape us. Before i was a teenager. Ive been through more that you cant even relate to.

What would you do?

Gobble Gobble!!

I hope everyone had a good turkey day, with lots of yummy food and lots to be thankful fo r!! Ours was , well, quite the day. it was just one of those days where nothing went as planned and by the end of the day we were all thinking, Ok God, we cant get through this on our own. he pulled us through. And after alot of prayer, i felt as good as new. The feast at Sally and Rons was AMAZING!! We got to hear some of there stories of living in Papua New Guinea. I love those kinds of stories, because it tells you that when you put your self out there, God WONT fail you. That is when you will see him work the most, thats when the miracles happen. Today was a very good day. Very relaxing, with no certain plans. First i got to talk to everyone that was at my house for thanksgiving. That was fun!! Kinda hard to get any words in... but thats what you get with my loud family!!! :) Amber and the boys went to the other orphanage with Sally and Ron to see the new playground equiptment being put in. She said that they really liked it! Lori finished some sewing things here and then we left to the savonapoom. We got there around 1. i finally got to do some music with the older kids. i showed them some new songs, and they played and sang with me. That was really fun! I wish we had had more time to do that! We left around 4:30 with a little friend. one of the older girls came with us because she didnt get to go with us shopping the one day like the other girls did becasue she wasnt there. So we took her home with us. Her name is Sena, i think she is 16. SO SWEET! And funny. She only talks a little bit of english. But enough to understand us and we can undersand her most of the time.
The pictures at the top are of the slums.
Gobble Gobble.
P.S. Dont forget to tell my mom happy birthday!! Love ya mom!

Tranchula!!!!!

Well last night i ate a tranchula!! Well i ate part of a tranchula and James ate the entire thing. But it was huge! It would be like an entire meal if iwould have ate the entire thing! I would rather eat 117 crickets rather than a tranchula! But not the fish sauce... Never the fish sauce!! Well its kinda depressing that we have to leave here soon. I wish that all of my people could come here with me, there wouldnt be anything else really that i would miss. Except the food. The food is not normal here!! I dont know what it is, but something about this place has got me hooked. I love there culture. I love the people. I love the places around me. No body is rushed here. You dont go over maybe 25 to 30 miles per hour here. And nobody is flipping anyone off because they got in there way. That is just a part of life here, in all the crazy madness, people get in each others way. I love the crazy madness too! I dont know, its just amazing here! Yesteday i bought 7 movies and 1 movie converter for 12 dollars! YAY ME!! A movie converter means that i can put the movies i bought on my computer and then on my ipod! i also bought New moon! Yes, i know that its still in theatres but i have it!! Its not very good quality oh well!! Well we got alot of there projects done today. Finally. First we made bags with them. Then we made hearts and gingerbreadmen. it was quite an adventure. They dont have stuffing here so we bought 2 stuffed animals, killed them and got the stuffing out of them. But that still wasnt enough so at the end we were using material scraps to fill there hearts and gingerbreadmen. It was quite funny but we were desperate to just be done with them!! Lori is still making skirts and curtains and bags with the older girls, shes amazing! She has sewed alot while we are here. And every night very late just so that she can get it done by the time we leave! You see what i mean, if we could just have a little more time here. Maybe forever would work! On saturday i think we are giong to tuel sleng. Of great. i think its a museum of what happened here in the 70's. I dont know what it was called. it was kinda like a hitler thing. ok funny story!! Last night i went to go brush my teeth and my toothbrush wasnt there. So knowing James, i figured he did something with it. So i went and asked him what he did with my toothbrush. He said that he didnt do anything with it. And i said well it was just there an hour ago but now its gone. And he said, wait its not blue is it? And i said yes it is. Come to find out, we have been using the same toothbrush the entire time we have been here! He packed it in his bag because they are going to the farm today!!

This is Mary and Jerimiah. They are brother and sister. Jerimiah is the one who can play the drums and the guitar and the piano and sing!! hes an amazing little 12 year old! Mary is the most precious little girl EVER!! She is so precious and so sweet. They have 2 other brothers named Tree and Joseph. Tree is the one that i was playing music with on sunday.
This is worship time. This little girl worships like you have never seen anyone worship before. its incredible!
I think that Amber is going to try and put the video of me and James eating the trancula on Facebook. i dont know when she will have time so dont expect it soon. i will try to put it on my blog but i dont know if it will work.
Right now we are getting ready for the day. First we are cooking some pies for Thanksgiving. Well Lori and Amber are. Then we will take them to Sallys house. At 1:30 we have a meeting with the people we are doing Joy club with. At 3 we are going to the slums to help with the joy club. We will wash their hands and feet and clothes and i think cut some of there hair. Then we are in charge of singing two action songs with them. When we are done with that there will be a bible story and skit. At 5 we are finished. We will race to sallys and try to be ready at 5:30. We will be dirty and sweaty so we are taking different clothes to change into. And then the feast begins!!

THAT WAS NOT SOY SAUCE!!!

We were very busy today! Lots of places in a very short amount of time! First was the feeding program at 7. We left the apartment at 6. It was VERY windy today. It was making me very angry because I had my hair done for church (LOL), and plus wind gives me a headache. It was also kinda chilly this morning. It was probably 75 degrees but it still kinda felt cold. The people here were wearing stocking caps and gloves. Dara was shivering! John said that there were 1620 people at the feeding program this morning! WOW!!! And every single one of them got at least one package of ramen noodles and more than half of them got 2. When everyone got there food, some of the older girls wanted me to play the piano and sing for them. They like the song As The Deer. I played it for them and then Tree (one of the older boys) came and listened. Then he played the guitar and I played the piano. He is really good but he didn’t think so. But that is only because Jeremiah is his brother. Jeremiah is…. Well he is amazing! As good as Fred but 12 years old. This is Bopar And Nita. nita is my favorite little girl ever!! And she loves me! they are sisters and they have another sister that is there. Her name is Lakena. Bopar was telling me a story of how she had 6 sisters and 2 brothers. but a mean man took a knife and killed her older brothers heart. I didnt really know what to say to that. After waiting for Dara to show up on his tuk tuk for about 20 minutes we went to the Olympic market and bought more shoes for the other orphanage. From there we walked to church. They had told me that it had a disco ball inside, but I really didn’t know what to expect. I LOVED IT!!!!! There worship, wow, I have never seen anything like it. It was almost literally a mosh pit. People were up in the front jumping and dancing. They had a dance team that danced during the worship. It was AMAZING!! I will go to that church when I live here!! But really I am serious, I am going to live here. Well I guess that is Gods choice, but I hope that it is His will for me to live here. Amber said that if she lived here she would just sell stuff on eBay for money. And I told her that she saved my bacon because I couldn’t figure out what I would do here for money if I lived here. Now I know. If you ask me, it seems to all be falling into place!!! J When we were done there, we went out to eat. I had a headache and I was starving since I only got 2 pieces of toast for breakfast this morning. We were out of food! James told me that I eat more that he has ever seen anyone eat before. I told him that I learned that from my mom!! LOL! I had prok fried rice there, it was really good. But when I ordered, I ordered an extra plate of white rice just incase I didn’t like the pork fried rice. When I was done with the pork fried rice I asked our waiter for some soy sauce. He brought it to me, it was in a little bowl thing. I poured it on my rice and it kinda smelled funny, but I tried it anyways. Turns out, it was NOT soy sauce. It was fish sauce. It was literally the worst thing I have ever tasted in my life! I told them that I was sorry but I had to spit it out. So I did. They all laughed at me. They said that with fish sauce you only use a few drips. But silly me thinking it was soy sauce dumped the whole thing on. IT WAS SOOOO GROSS!!!!! I will never be the same!!! I would rather live in the meat market at orasay than taste that again!! Mom if you think I didn’t like fish then, it is now 100x worse!!!! When we were done there we went to the other orphanage and made bags with them. Im falling in love with those kids also. How will I ever leave here? The little boy that is holding up 3 with his fingers, i think that he thinks that is a sign you make with your fingers. Because all of the others were doing peace, so he held up 3 fingers!! FUNNY!! He is so cute and sweet!! When we got back here, we ate spaghetti! IT WAS SOOO GOOD!! NORMAL FOOD!!! Oh ya, I went in my room to find an empty gum pack laying on my bed. I asked kenden if he ate it and he said yes. There was like 8 pieces in it and he ATE all of it! No he didn’t just chew it, he chewed it and swallowed it!!! It was hilarious!!!

Lovin it...

the last 2 days have been very good. on friday we went to savonapoom and did more music and sewing. After we were done there we went shopping! I love shopping here! Everything is sooo cheap! I bought alot of cool stuff for SOOOO incredibly cheap. Even some christmas presents!! Today we took 6 of the girls from the orphanage shopping for material for some sewing projects. it was really fun to be able to hang out with them without being at the orphanage. They are all around my age. Mom you will be soo happy. i bought material to make a bag. Yes, im going to make it myself!!! LOL!! We went out to eat at KFC!! NORMAL FOOD!!! i was soo happy! That is the first time that i have been full since we got here!! Tyce, there was no macaroni and cheese there! I was a little bummed but it was still good! im just afraid to eat food here. The meat tastes wierd. And so do all dairy products. Everything is just a little different. And usually if you order american food at a restaurant they dont know how to make it and its gross. its a bummer. i just want my oatmeal and toast!! LOL! When we were done there, we went to the other orphanage. Its hard to get up the nerve to go there. But i am always happy that we do. This time we sang some VBS songs with them. And we played Limbo.... and i fell flat on my back when we were doing it! :) Then i went and held some of the babies. There is a new one there, he was so cute. He is the one that is in the picture. He is still saveable. i wish that we could take him home with us. All the other babies are so sick. I dont know how they are even going to live. They are all so skinny and they have runny noses and you can feel how hard it is for them to breath when you hold them. Its so... i dont know what. You just feel hopeless when you are there because you cant really do anything to help them. Especially the babies. This time there was 2 babies with bleeding ears. one we think is from the rats and the other Katie said she thinks it has mites in its ears. She bandaged them up but that only lasts for so long. Pray for a way for us to help.

I LOVE IT HERE!!!

Sorry i didnt blog yesterday... but we pretty much did the same thing that we did the day before. We are loving the "cool" weather. its so nice! The people here are all wearing sweathshirts like its winter. But to us its perfect. Yesterday we went to the orphanage and did some more music and sewing projects. when we were done their we went to the other orphanage. CPCDO i think its called. We brought them some fruit, and Amber, Lori and Sally all did some mending on their clothes. I got to know some of the girls their. They taught me how to count to ten. I also held some of the babies. But its kinda scary to do that because they dont have diapers on and they are all sick. But i did anyways. Its just so sad their. When people give them things they sell them for money. Like Amber said, if they have too much stuff then they wont look poor anymore and then nobody will help them. that just disgusts me... and we all agree. When we were their Amber had two rats run right by her feet. This place is disgusting and dirty. The little girl that was in the picture the other day, when we got there she had a little piece of a coconut in her hand. there was nothing on it but she was still picking away at it trying to get every last piece off of it. Its so sad. Today we went to the Sovanapoom again. I read the kids a story. the story about the good samaritian. when they were done they took a break. When they left me and peak (the teacher) played some music together on the piano. He wanted me to show him a song. So i did and then he played some. He thought i was really good but i thought he was really good. We just play two different ways. He is just another Fred. He can play anything he puts his hands on. When they do worship everyday, he plays the guitar. He memorizes the chords. Hes really good. And on sunday for church he played the piano and sang. Jereimiah, hes 12, is also like a little fred. He can play everything. On sunday he was playing the drums. He was SOOO good. Hes so cute. All the kids are cute. I love em' all!
PS. Look closely at the cow. They are a little skinny! Thats how they all are here. And the sign of the bathrooms i just thought was funny. This is the first bathroom anywhere in public i have seen. And in the bathroom they had little pieces of cloth to dry your hands off with. They dont believe in papertowls. And i have only seen two garbage cans while we have been here. They just throw their garbage on the floor or ground!

Good day at Sonvanapoom

Today was a very good day. it wasnt as hot outside and that was very good! This morning we went to the orphanage. i taught the kids how to play the rythm instruments that amber brought over. it was great. I was just kind of a wing it kind of deal because we didnt really have a plan at all. But over all it went pretty well. Alot of even the younger ones are very musical. While i was doing this with them Lori, katie and Amber were down stairs sewing bags with them. Amber and i also did some VBS songs with them. When we were done with that you would have thought that i had just got out of the shower. And that is no joke. I told Amber that we need to start bring towels with us and i accutally mean it! We were starving when we were done their so on the way back on the ferry we bought some Pineapple. But i forgot to tell the lady not to put any salt on it so that was kind of gross. I washed each piece off with my water bottle and everyone on the ferry was staring and laughing. but thats how it always is here! We took the kids back to the apartment and left them with the guys and Me Lori Amber and Katie all went out to go shopping. First we went to fix one of the orphanages sewing machines and then we went out to eat at the riverside. this is a very nice restaurant but VERY slow. We waited for our food for an hour Literally and then we asked them if we could get it take away (to go) and that took even longer. When we finally got it we were chowing down in the tuk tuk because we were starving. Everyone we went by was laughing at us. It was quite funny! We went to the olympic market after that to buy some more material for the kids at the orphanage. Mom you would be in heaven here. Half of the top floor was all material. And as you can see in the picture they cram as much stuff in as little of space as they can. Then we went and bought a blender and a tea pot. that was ummm... interesting! And very funny! He had us sit on little stools in the middle of the market while they packaged our blender. And i found a new friend. (In the picture) There is a very funny story behind that too! We went to lucky market when we were done and then came back to the apartment. We are all exhausted, but we had alot of good laughs today.

ITS SOO HOT!

Today was VERY hot! Yesterday it was muggy and had a little breeze, but today their was neither. We went to the orphanage again today. The guys had a meeting with John about all of the things that they are going to do. They are going to rebuild the bridge that you see up in these pictures. This bridge goes from the building to the playground and other apartment buildings that some sleep in. As you can see the bridge is in pretty bad shape. These trenches are supposed to be for more basement apartments. They haven’t got those built yet. But there is water in the bottom of them. One of the kids showed Lori a fish that was in one of them. That’s because of the flooding that they get here. The orphanage isn’t that close to the river either. John said that one time it was raining so hard that he had to cover his face to breathe. He said it was like someone was spraying him with a garden hose. They are also going to build new bunk beds because the bunk beds are not in good shape. Can you imagine being the kid on the bottom of the bunk bed?! Grandpa, James told me to tell you that your 300 dollars built some of those new bunk beds. They are also going out to the farm tomorrow. Well Stan and Nathanael are anyways. Aaron and James are staying here and helping John with the projects at the orphanage. The farm is a piece of land that the orphanage has, but they don’t really know what to do with it. They spend days their tearing the land up but when they come back it has all grown back because things grow so fast here. So they are going their to build a well. Just a place to start. While we were at the orphanage Raw (the cook) cooked lunch for us. It was stir fry with rice. It was soo yummy! LOVED IT! Raw is so funny and very nice! Every body is nice here. Every body smiles and waves. After we ate lunch we left and came back to the apartment. Then we went to another orphanage in the city. This is an orphanage that Ron and Sally (the ones who picked us up from the airport) want to help out in. Its owned by the state and in very bad shape. The problem is that they aren’t Christians. There are 71 kids that live their. 10 are very young babies. The state gives them money and the people that run the orphanage use a lot of it on them selves and give what’s left over to the orphanage. You would not believe me if I told you what it looked like. Its not explainable. It made me wonder why I get to live where I live, eat what I eat, have anything I want, when these kids have nothing at all. All of the things in my bag could have fed them for a month. And those are things that I don’t even really need. They are just luxuries. Thats why i want to stay here. Its not only that I love it here, but there is so much hurt here. There is something I could do here I know it. Its not fair that I get what I get. I just want to give it all to them. Anyways, the pictures are of that orphanage. I think that we are going to build them 2 swing sets and feet for their bunk beds. Because when it rains the entire orphanage is flooded. And their beds get wet too. there are kids at that orphanage that go to school in phnom phen somewhere, and there are others that could go if they had shoes. All they need is a 2 dollar pair of flip flops and they could go to school but they cant even get that. The babies need fromula but they cant get that either. Its very sad, and the worst part is that they don’t know Christ and its not the same. Its harder. You don’t have any common ground. So really the most important thing that we can do there is be their for them and with them. Talk to them and play with the kids. Any thing to show them Jesus. Anything to lead them to the cross. That’s really what they need. That’s all that they need. Well we are going to sovanapoom tomorrow in the morning. I think that we are going to do some music stuff! YAY! And their piano has a peddle. That is very important! LOL! it’s a little small, and no weighted keys but I can survive if it has a peddle! Now we are going to eat dinner. Mango chicken with no mangos! ButIm sure it will be excellent!
From first to last the pictures are of 1.) the bridge that the guys are going to fix at sovanapoom (the orphanage in the village. The main one we are helping at.)
2.) the ferry we ride everyday across the river.
3.) the houses that are on the river. Yes, ON THE RIVER.
4.)bunkbeds at the other orphanage
5.)the kitchen at the other orphanage
6.)the desks that they work at at the other orphanage
7 & 8.) a little boy and a little girl that were their. They don’t really believe in diapers in Cambodia. Most little babies are running around with a shirt on and no pants or diaper.

Churc at the orphanage

Today we went to church at the orphanage! It was amazing and i cant wait to go back tomorrow! First at 7 was the feeding program. There were ALOT of people their. These are what the pictures are. If they come upstairs to church then they get 2 bags of top ramen. But if they stay down stairs they only get one. they always think that they are going to be short food, but theLord is always faithful and they have enough food. Its amazing what the Lord can do when you put yourself out their and let him used you! After that we went down to the coffee shop. Ok, when you think of coffee shop you think of Starbucks right? Well you are wrong about this one. We were in a village. Dirt roads, skinny cows, and huts everywhere! So the coffee shop is under a little tent thing. But the coffe was really good. Who knows if it was sanitary or not though! Right next door they were having a wedding. Weddings here go for several days and they spend thousands of dollars on them. Money that they dont have and that they will be paying off for the rest of their lives. After this we went to the orphanage. We talked to John for a while before the church service started. Him and his wife are the ones that started the orphanage a long time ago. They are astralian. VERY NICE! He told us stories of times that he almost died. 3 times since he has been here. One time was from malaria. another time, somebody was mad at him so they took an axe and split the top of his head open. He put his hand on his head and asked the Lord to heal him and he could feel it closing shut. Another time a bunch of drunk men were mad at him so they chased him back to the orphanage. He told the kids to go inside and shut the gate hoping that he would be enough and they would leave the kids alone. He went outside and told them to go away in the name of the Lord Jesus and they walked away. If you dont believe in God, i think that those stories would be enough to make you realize that it is true. You cant deny it. I heard them playing music up stairs so i went up stairs just cause i couldnt help myself. Some songs were in english and some werent. Soon church started and we sang alot of songs. This is no church service that you have ever been to. Its just so real. Its a worship service like you have never seen. These kids are singing their lungs out, hands stretched out, praising God. they really mean it and they understand. I was in tears. after we sang, John asked anybody if they had never asked Jesus in their heart or if they had fallen away. LOTS of little kids went up front. New kids to the orphange and a mother and her child. Then John preached and the other preacher translated for the other people. Oh and one other plus, the dark Rob Pattinson lives in this orphanage (for: paige, Bri and mandy! LOL)Or as Amber calls him, Calvien Clien. After this we went out to eat, at the river front. Very nice and i had a chicken taco. It was very yummy! Lori had a fruit bowl and i tried one of her papayas and i almost puked. i would eat a cricket over a papaya any day! After this we went back to the apartment and hung out. Me, Lori and Amber walked around for a while. We went to the market and walked around by our apartment. We found a coffee shop. I suppose we will be their alot, judging by who i am with. LOL! Lori was trying to find a hair brush to buy and they couldnt understand us so they almost died her hair! FUNNY FUNNY! Tomorrow we are going to the orphanage again! IM SO EXCITED!

first day in Cambodia

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Ok so I decided that if I could fit in here I would live here. The problem is that everyone here stares and you stand out. it’s a bummer. If I could just die my skin and get brown contacts, maybe it would work!! JK JK! Anyways, today was a full day. But it was awesome! We did a lot and saw a lot! This was our day:
1. Get up at 6:30 ( I woke up and was so worried that I slept in and that they were all waiting for me… but come to find out it was only 6:30 and I only thought it was late because it was 2 oclock in the afternoon where you are)
2. Got ready, ate breakfast, and posted a blog of yesterday
3. While the guys where out eating breakfast we walked to a market. It was not very far away. And it had rained A LOT the night before so there was water everywhere and we had to wear real shoes.
4. I LOVE THE MARKET! Its so cool. I thought that the place was huge! But they informed me that it was a very small one. The food part is really gross and stinky but the everything else is soo cheap and really cool. Its just like going to walmart or Costco. For them that is what it is. I bought some grapes and pear apples. YUMMY!
5. We came back to our apartment and put our stuff away. Dara (The one in the picture with the wesler boys and bell) came and picked us up and we went to Wat phnom. I think it was a temple. Ya it was. There were lots of monkeys, and an elephant. We met this little girl who was selling water and she walked around with us the whole time. Her name was T. there were lots of little kids begging. They followed you around with their hands out asking for money. It was sad but you cant give them any money because their parents take it from them and the kids don’t get any. And T told us not to give them any for that reason. Oh and one other small thing, me and James ate a cricket. IT WAS GROSS! Well the taste wasn’t gross, just the thought of eating it. And it was crunchy. You have to buy everything here in a kilo or half kilo. So we got more than one cricket. We gave the rest to the kids that were begging and the others to the monkeys. Crickets to the people here are like eating Doritos. Kinda weird.
6. We went and ate lunch at a restraunt/spa and it was really yummy! I had a ceasar salad. Then Lori and I went and got a foot massage. I am really ticklish so it was really hard not to laugh sometimes. But other than that it was AMAZING! And it only cost 10 dollars! All of us girls are going to go back on a Sunday sometime and get full body massages! AWESOME! Today was the first massage that I have ever had except from Donnie during Spanish class and Bible study!! LOL!
7.Dara took us to a bigger market. It was HUGE!! You should see all the shoes they have their! The whole top floor is COVERED!!! And the top floor is big! I bought a pair of shoes there for 6 dollars and they are so cute! We went down to the bottom floor. That is where the meat is sold. I really thought that I was going to throw up. It stinks SOO bad. The animals are alive hanging from rope or flopping around on a cutting board. It was way more than I could handle. I think that you all need to come here with me just so that you could really understand all of this. Because I have had it explained to me and it wasn’t anything what I thought it was going to be. You cant quite explain it. Its just so awesome and sad all at the same time.
7. After we left that disgusting place we went to the lucky market. This market is exactly like any store we have here. It has everything that we have, just in a different language.
8. Now we are back at the palace and Lori and Amber are making dinner. I don’t know what it is. Im sure it will be delicious. Tomorrow I think we are going to the orphanage for church. CANT WAIT!!

the pictures are of the first market that we went to, the stairs up to our apartment, the power lines here, Dara and the wesler kids, the begging kids at Wat phnom and Me,Ryan and T.

Friday, November 13, 2009

ok so the first picture is looking down from our palace. Which happens to be on the fifth floor and no elevator! Ya... fun fun! But its good exercise! The second picture is my first tuk tuk ride to the market. And yes, that picture is of KFC! Weird HUH?! WE went to dinner at this outdoor garden restaurant... and this lady played the ummm... insturment for us! It was awesome! I LOVE CAMBODIA!!! I am definetly coming back to this place! The traffic is a little crazy! Today i am going to try and take a vido of it and i will post it. That way you have a little bit of an idea of what i mean! James and i have to eat a tranchula while we are here. wE are also going to take a video of that just so that i have proof that i really did it! When the guys get back from eating breakfast we are going to go do something. i dont know what yet? Tour around i guess. Oh ya, my pictures are up on kims website! so take a look! (if you dont already konw her website is Kaelitephotograpy) Dara is our tuk tuk driver and he is SOOO nice! He smiles alot and i like it when people smile! They said that he isnt a christian yet but they are working on it! It doesnt stink here like i thought it would but we havent gone down to the river yet. Oh and i bushed my teeth this morning with the water out of the faucet, amber did yesterday too. So i hope that we dont get sick! People around here have starring problems! and most of the time you are sitting on your tuk tuk face to face with them. its a little weird. They will keep starring even after thay have already passed! Well i better go! i will try to do this again tomorrow!

WE MADE IT!!!!

Well first things first!! ITS HOT HERE!!! James said that it is 90 degrees with 99% humidity. Who knows if that is accutally true knowing james! The plane ride was good. Well at least for me. It felt more like 5 hours not 14. And it was dark the entire time. It was weird. I think that we were running from the sun. So we are in tommorow and you are in yesterday. We skipped a day. And when we go back we will relive the same day twice! COOL HUH!? We were so glad to get back to the motel because we hadnt changed clothes or taken showers in two days. And being in a crammed packed plane didnt help the situation. We feel so much better now that we have showers. Our apartment is like a palace! Its kinda crazy! You go by markets on the side of the rode that are selling gas for their motercycles in glass bottles and then you come to this place? its kinda crazy! VERY MUCH OPPOSITE EXTREMES!! i got to talk to my parents on skype just now! that was really fun! Its the middle of the day here and we are just getting ready to go to the market to buy food them go out to eat. Im accutally not that tired though... even though its 10:00 there!! Well i better go! Tomorrow we will be touring and then the next day we will be doing the feeding program and church at the orphanage! exciting! I will try to blog tomottow!

P.S. the pictures are of cambodia from the sky, The HUGE GROSS river from the sky and our amazing palace like apartment in the middle of all that!
